The kitchen and bathroom design process
Designing a kitchen or bathroom requires a balance of style and function to create a space that enhances everyday living. Our process ensures every detail is considered, from layout and materials to finishes and fixtures, resulting in a space that reflects your lifestyle and stands the test of time.
Time frame: Design fee estimate delivered approx. 1–2 weeks from initial consultation
In our first meeting, we take the time to understand how you use your kitchen or bathroom, your design preferences and any practical needs. This consultation helps us define the scope of work and create a thorough design brief. Based on this, we’ll provide a design fee estimate via email.
Time frame: Approx. 2–4 weeks from payment of deposit to concept design
Once you decide to move forward, we visit your home to take measurements and photos. If you have existing plans, we incorporate them into the process. We then develop a concept, including an initial layout, mood board, and material suggestions to make your vision a reality. A concept presentation meeting allows us to review the proposed design, discuss budget expectations and refine the direction before moving into detailed development.
Time frame: Up to 6–12 weeks from payment of design development invoice
With the concept approved, we refine the design further, preparing detailed plans, elevations and 3D perspectives. This stage also includes selecting key elements such as benchtops, cabinetry finishes, appliances, tiles and fixtures. We’ll guide you through material and product choices to ensure the final design aligns with your aesthetic and functional needs. Once you’re happy, we move on to the documentation phase.

We can arrange on-site meetings throughout the construction phase to oversee the design implementation and liaise with trades to ensure every detail is executed to plan.
